It is eight year
old Emma’s first day back at school. She’s glad to be with her friends Elle and
Hannah again.
A maths test
makes Emma nervous. Will she remember all she learnt? Something unexpected
happens. She gets top marks. These along with deciphering Hannah’s secret codes
when playing spy games open a door to an exciting adventure when she’s chosen
to join Shine Spy School, Under 10 Division. She now has a secret life, an ID
card that says Agent EJ10, and is given spy gear.
This is the
first book in a series. It is similar to Zac Power, and aimed at girls
approximately the same age group. It touches on themes of self confidence,
friendships, and realizing your dreams no matter how fantastic they might
appear. The series is recommended for reluctant readers.
